Amelia was born and raised in Washington, D.C. She studied at the University of Pittsburgh, where she got a BA in Political Science and History, with a certificate in Global Health. Amelia’s curiosity in health, specifically the disparities surrounding it, began her sophomore year of college where she took a wide variety of classes such as African American Health Issues, Global Health and Gender Equality, Health Controversies, and more. In her free time Amelia loves playing with her cat Bunny, exploring the city, and going thrift shopping.
