Tell Every Amazing Lady®
About Ovarian Cancer

Our mission is to offer women’s health and wellness services, including public awareness and education of the signs, symptoms and risk factors of ovarian cancer, provide support to those impacted by the disease and raise funds for research in order to find a screening test and a cure.

Who Is T.E.A.L.®?

T.E.A.L.® stands for both Tell Every Amazing Lady About Ovarian Cancer Louisa M. McGregor Ovarian Cancer Foundation and for Teal, the color that symbolizes ovarian cancer.

Founded in 2009 by two sisters from Brooklyn, NY to draw attention to ovarian cancer, T.E.A.L.® has grown to become a national movement.  Our goal is to decrease mortality rates by helping women identify signs and symptoms and urging them to seek medical help at the earliest possible stages. We believe that by equipping women with knowledge about the disease and its signs, and encouraging them to listen to their bodies, we can save lives.

T.E.A.L.® ovarian cancer programs focus on providing support to patients and survivorsraising public awareness, and sharing resources with key partners in the struggle to end ovarian cancer.

Tell Every Amazing Lady® About Ovarian Cancer funds cutting-edge research and public education campaigns designed to improve the lives of ovarian cancer patients and those at risk of contracting the disease. We are constantly in the community participating in health fairs, symposiums, and lectures at schools, universities, community centers, hospitals, and community meetings throughout the year to provide information about ovarian cancer and to address this important women’s health issue. Our programs function on the principle that awareness and education of ovarian cancer is empowering, and understanding this deadly disease is the first step toward fighting it.

About Tell Every Amazing Lady®

T.E.A.L.® is a grassroots 501C3 not-for-profit organization founded by two sisters from Brooklyn, NY with a passion to draw attention to ovarian cancer, which is the leading cause of death among gynecological cancers.

After the late Louisa M. McGregor’s ovarian cancer diagnosis in 2007, Louisa and her sister Pamela Esposito-Amery started T.E.A.L.®. They began to realize that as a result of the absence of ovarian cancer research funding, women across the country lacked the awareness, treatment options, and ability to diagnose.

All factors incredibly vital to these women in order to overcome the disease. Although Louisa lost her four-year battle with this disease in 2011 (read Louisa’s story), her passion and drive continue to inspire T.E.A.L.®’s growth as an organization that strives to Tell Every Amazing Lady® about Ovarian Cancer.
