Hello, my name is Heather Simon. I am running for Tell Every Amazing Lady® because I know firsthand the lack of research, awareness, and support there is for ovarian cancer and patients with ovarian cancer.  I am a Gynecological Cancer Nurse Practitioner in the New Orleans area where we treat patients with ovarian cancer from diagnosing, surgery, chemotherapy, and survival. Many patients are diagnosed at a late stage because of lack of early screening tests and awareness. Then, during treatment and survival, have few resources to assist with education, assistance, and survivorship. Tell Every Amazing Lady® fills this gap. To be able to run 26.2 miles in the 2026 TCS New York City marathon is a gift that I don’t take for granted. And to be able to support this foundation and those bearing the burden of ovarian cancer is my “give back” outside of doing this as a “passion” in my career. It is an honor to run for this cause.
