T.E.A.L. was invited to JCreations and Jasmine Hill Carter’s Cancer Awareness Event and Fashion Show titled “The TakeOver” on November 15, 2014. T.E.A.L. had an awareness table and shared educational resources about the signs, symptoms, and risk factors of Ovarian Cancer with the event attendees. T.E.A.L. CEO spoke at the event and was given a Certificate of Appreciation by the event organizers.
The fashion show showcased original designs by fashion designer Jocenia Holman of JCreations. For the fashion show, each fashion design showcased a color symbolizing a specific type of cancer and included 2 teal dress creations for Ovarian Cancer. The event also included a ceremony to honor those who have passed from these cancers with recognition awards for the families of the honorees. The night also included raffle prizes and uplifting performances by dancers, poets, and singers.
