T.E.A.L. and Brooklyn College

Throughout the month of October T.E.A.L. has participated in a number of events at Brooklyn College connecting with staff and students to empower, educate and bring awareness about Ovarian Cancer to the community. On October 2nd T.E.A.L. had the opportunity to participate in the 13th Annual Health and Benefits Fair at Brooklyn College. The fair, targeting faculty and staff at the college offering information about health care options and community health programs. T.E.A.L. had a table at the event and spread our message of awareness of the signs and symptoms of Ovarian Cancer.

T.E.A.L. participated in the Brooklyn College Internship and Job Fair on October 25th. The organization was able to connect with students and provide guidance and internship opportunities for students interested in pursuing careers in non-profit management and other related fields. T.E.A.L. also used the opportunity to spread information to students about Ovarian Cancer signs and symptoms.

CEO and co-founder Pamela Amery-Esposito also connected with students this month when she sat on a panel that answered questions from students pursuing degrees in Science and Research on October 10th.
Additionally, the Brooklyn College Alpha Sigma Sorority, long time supporters and volunteers of T.E.A.L.  partnered with the organization once again for the Annual Women’s Health Seminar which focuses on early detection of Breast and Ovarian Cancer. The sorority also organized a Wall and Window campaign which is currently raising money for T.E.A.L.’s  Ovarian Cancer awareness and research programs.
