On May 8th, T.E.A.L.® celebrated World Ovarian Cancer Day. T.E.A.L.® ‘s CEO Pamela Esposito-Amery shared the importance of this day, surrounded by distinguished guests, including Dr. Kevin Holcomb, Steve Buscemi, Deputy Brooklyn Borough President Kim Council, Deputy Commissioner of Family and Child Health Dr. Leslie Hayes, survivors, and community members. T.E.A.L.® Community Center in Park Slope Brooklyn, NY. Pamela shared her story about her sister, Louisa M. McGregor and how her diagnosis motivated them to start T.E.A.L.®. In addition, she shared the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer, how crucial early detection of the disease is, and the importance of genetics and genetic testing.
