Training for a marathon is a challenge, but my motivation goes far beyond hitting a personal milestone; I am running to do some good in this world. I am excited to run with Team Tell Every Amazing Lady®, and partner with them to bring support, through awareness and research to those whose lives have been impacted by ovarian cancer. Tell Every Amazing Lady® is a charity organization close to my heart. I watched a close friend battle ovarian cancer for several years. I never want to see another person go through what she and her family had to go through. Every mile logged is fueled by the knowledge that each step helps raise vital funds for the support of those dealing with ovarian cancer. This journey is about more than physical endurance—it’s about raising awareness, providing support, and funding research for ovarian cancer screenings and cures. I am thrilled (except for days where it is raining or hot…but in my heart always thrilled) to run every mile of training and the TCS New York City Marathon, as a way to meaningfully impact in this world.
