P.S. 164 Decorates the T.E.A.L.® Community Center Windows for Summer

On May 26th, 2022, P.S.164 in Brooklyn created gorgeous floral art for the T.E.A.L.® Community Center windows! The art included a flower-covered awareness ribbon and flowers of multiple colors and sizes to highlight the summer aesthetic.

Solange Cisneros, the parent coordinator at P.S. 164, provided this statement with the childrens’ artwork: “The students of P.S. 164 were introduced to T.E.A.L.®’s mission in order to create this artwork. Students from our general education, Gifted & Talented, ASD Horizon, and 12:1 classes were involved in coloring and cutting over 1,000 flowers to create a cancer awareness ribbon and a 3D flower frame. This artwork was designed to display a message of hope to ovarian cancer patients and brings a vibrant display to the community to spread the message of hope, love, and support to anyone affected and impacted by this disease. The P.S. 154 school and community is a proud and strong partner of T.E.A.L.®’s mission and vision.”

If you’re in the neighborhood, view the display this summer at 533 16th Street in Brooklyn between 10th and 11th Avenues. We’re right around the corner from Prospect Park!
