T.E.A.L.® Is Back in Person!!
The Covid-19 Pandemic hit T.E.A.L.® hard causing us to pause a lot of our programs. Prior to the pandemic the T.E.A.L.® Community Center was a place open to the public to come learn about ovarian cancer. It was a resource to the community as well as ovarian cancer patients and survivors. During the pandemic we had to pause all in-person activities at the T.E.A.L.® Community Center in Brooklyn, NY. On Friday April 28th, 2023, we were ecstatic to host one of our first in-person educational public workshop in over two years! The workshop entitled Healthy Living with Kitchen Medicine was hosted by the amazing Carolyn Jones, a Holistic Health Practitioner and Bereavement Chaplain. Those who attended the workshop learned about the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer, as well as the health benefits of 12 different herbs and spices. It was a great event full of health and wellness. We are looking forward to hosting more in person workshops at the T.E.A.L.® Community Center.
