United Airlines NYC Half Experience

On March 16, 2024, members of Team Tell Every Amazing Lady® attended the United Airlines NYC Half Marathon Expo Experience presented by New Balance at Center 415 in Manhattan, NY. This was a fun way for participants to pick up their bibs, get last minute tips and take team photos. We also then walked over to Pret A Manger, where T.E.A.L.® treated Team Tell Every Amazing Lady® to lunch. All the runners were gifted branded T.E.A.L.® items, and more awareness materials. 

Half Marathon Meetup #2- 2024

Tell Every Amazing Lady® hosted a virtual meetup for Team Tell Every Amazing Lady® in the 2024 United Airlines NYC Half on March 4, 2024. The meetup served as a way for the runners to connect again ahead of the March 17, 2024, race. Those who were unable to attend the first meetup attended this one, and shared their personal story of how ovarian cancer had impacted them. 

Half Marathon Meetup #1- 2024

On February 3, 2024, Tell Every Amazing Lady® hosted a hybrid in-person and virtual meetup for Team Tell Every Amazing Lady® in the 2024 United Airlines NYC Half. A portion of the team was in-person at the T.E.A.L.® Community Center in Park Slope, BK, and the remainder attended virtually. The meetup served as a way for the runners to meet each other, learn more about T.E.A.L.®, and become educated about the signs, symptoms, and risk factors of ovarian cancer. All runners are raising funds to combat ovarian cancer and spread awareness. 

United Airlines NYC Half Marathon Runner from Team Tell Every Amazing Lady® featured in Nassau Illustrated

Henry Mulholland, a runner on Team Tell Every Amazing Lady® in the 2023 United Airlines NYC Half, was featured in the March 22nd, 2023 edition of the Nassau Illustrated. The Long Island-based newspaper highlighted Henry’s fundraising journey in honor of his mother, Mary Pat, who lost her battle with ovarian cancer. Henry raised over $60,000 for Tell Every Amazing Lady®.

Team Tell Every Amazing Lady® Cheers on Runners During United Airlines NYC 2023 Half Marathon

Team Tell Every Amazing Lady® was thrilled to cheer on our charity runners as they ran the 13.1-mile 2023 United Airlines New York City Half Marathon on March 19th, 2023. Staff and supporters spotted the runners in Grand Army Plaza, Brooklyn, where we spread ovarian cancer awareness with handheld signs and teal pom poms. This year’s team was one of our largest with 17 runners. Our amazing charity runners collectively raised over $100,000 in the fight against ovarian cancer.

Tell Every Amazing Lady® is honored to be a charity partner in the 2023 United Airlines NYC Half. Tell Every Amazing Lady® has spots for fifteen runners to each raise $1,000 for Team Tell Every Amazing Lady®. Run with more than 20,000 participants on this iconic 13.1-mile course through Brooklyn and Manhattan.

The March 19th event will begin in Brooklyn, where runners will then make their way over the East River via the Manhattan Bridge. Once in Manhattan, runners will race along the Lower East Side, up to Midtown, and through Times Square before finishing in Central Park.

If you already have a bib for the race, you can still apply to run with us by filling out the form here or by contacting us at contact@tealwalk.org. Those joining our team who have a bib will qualify for the same perks as our official team members, and will be asked to raise $500.

Team Member Requirements:

Minimum fundraising of $1,000 on T.E.A.L.®’s behalf is required if you are an official team member with one of our bibs, and is due by February 15th, 2023.

If you already have a bib, a minimum fundraising of $500 on T.E.A.L.®’s behalf is due by February 15th, 2023.

Team members should be prepared to have a fundraising plan to meet their goal by the deadline. 

NYC United Airlines Half Marathon – cheer!

T.E.A.L.® participates in the United Airlines NYC Half Marathon! This year, T.E.A.L.® had five amazing individuals join our team and run the United Airlines NYC Half Marathon on March 20, 2022. They wore our T.E.A.L.® T-shirts during the race and helped raise awareness of ovarian cancer. Our staff was so excited to meet up in Brooklyn to cheer our runners on as they ran by. Way to go Team Tell Every Amazing Lady®!

Tell Every Amazing Lady® hosts meetup for runners on 2022 United Airlines NYC Half marathon charity team

Tell Every Amazing Lady® hosted a virtual meetup for the runners on its 2022 United Airlines NYC Half marathon team on February 19, 2022. The meetup served as a way for the runners to meet each other ahead of the March 20th, 2022 race and learn about the foundation they were representing. Many of the runners chose to run for Tell Every Amazing Lady® because they were personally affected by ovarian cancer. 

Tell Every Amazing Lady® hosts virtual 2020 TCS New York City Marathon team meet up

Tell Every Amazing Lady® hosted a virtual meetup on June 13th for runners on its team in the 2020 TCS New York City Marathon. Several members on the team of 11 got to meet each other via Zoom. Running coach — and past T.E.A.L.® United Airlines NYC Half runner Kai Ng — attended to share advice and tips with the team. T.E.A.L.® staff provided the athletes with information on ovarian cancer, the foundation, and the marathon. 

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, New York Road Runners announced on June 24th that the 2020 TCS New York City Marathon is canceled.

United Airlines NYC Half Marathon Runner Hosts Cornhole Tournament

On February 17th Gerard Donahue, who is running the 2019 United Airlines NYC Half Marathon on team Tell Every Amazing Lady®, held a cornhole tournament fundraiser in Scranton, Pennsylvania raising $815! This was a great event to not only raise funds for T.E.A.L.® but also awareness about this deadly disease. Team T.E.A.L® at the 2018 United Airlines NYC Half Marathon

T.E.A.L® staff and interns were up bright and early on Sunday, March 18th to cheer on Team T.E.A.L® & spread awareness about ovarian cancer! It was a beautiful morning to cheer on the 6 runners who fundraised for teal, as well as to provide support to all the runners participating in one of New York’s most iconic races. United Airlines Half Marathon 2018 and T.E.A.L®

Runner Meetup for Team T.E.A.L.®!

T.E.A.L.® is so excited to be a part of the United Airlines NYC Half Marathon on March 18th, 2018! In anticipation of the race, the T.E.A.L.® United ½ runners met up at the T.E.A.L.® Community Center on January 28th, where they were able to get to know each other and bond as a team, as well as speaking with T.E.A.L.® staff about fundraising and why they chose T.E.A.L.® specifically.
