On April 5, 2024, T.E.A.L.® Staff attended Council Member Shekar Krishnan of District 25’s National Public Health Week, “Let’s Talk About Cancer” in Elmhurst, NY. The purpose of this event was for attendees to learn about a variety of cancer screening programs, receive general cancer education and prevention information, and be presented with the opportunity to make appointments for free breast, cervical, and colorectal screenings. It was a great and informative event, where T.E.A.L.® was given the opportunity to remind the public that ovarian cancer does not have a screening test.
