Myths & Tips for Plant-Focused Eating

Join Tell Every Amazing Lady® and New York Gastroenterology Group on June 27th, at 6:00 PM at the T.E.A.L.® Community Center, for a free nutrition workshop that will include a casual “interview style” conversation amongst moderators–Suzie Finkel MS, RD, CDN and Faith Aronowitz MS, RD, CDN— addressing myths and benefits of plant foods, followed by a live demonstration of building a balanced plant-forward meal.

Faith is a Registered Dietitian and New York State Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist at New York Gastroenterology Associates, an independent GI practice in NYC. Faith specializes in the convergence of gastrointestinal health, eating disorders, and sports nutrition, employing a weight-inclusive, non-diet approach to care in her practice. Faith has experience working with inpatient and outpatient behavioral health populations, previously working at the New York State Psychiatric Institute and as part of a group eating disorder practice. Faith earned her MS in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology from Teachers College, Columbia University, where she also completed her Dietetic Internship, and completed her undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, at Muhlenberg College. 

Suzie is a Brooklyn-based registered dietitian specializing in the nutritional management of digestive conditions and metabolic diseases. She works alongside the gastroenterology team at New York Gastroenterology Associates where she provides patients with evidence-based medical nutrition therapy. Suzie is also a digestive health writer for various publications such as WebMD and VeryWell Health, and trains fellow dietitians and dietetic interns in gastrointestinal nutrition. She holds a master’s degree in nutrition from Columbia University and is a New York State certified dietitian nutritionist.
