Tell Every Amazing Lady® and theLions Club made the front page of the Park Slope Courier!

Check out this article by the Brooklyn Paper showing how the District 20-K1 Lions Club of Brooklyn helped us Turn The Town’s Teal® on  5th Ave and North Flatbush Ave in Brooklyn to raise awareness for ovarian cancer. 

On August 26th, 2024 we tied teal ribbons to trees all over the avenues and spoke to many local businesses about our cause. Thank you Brooklyn Paper for covering this exciting event and thank you to Gabriele Holtermann for your lovely article!

WSAV Interviews Hannah about the 11th Annual Savannah T.E.A.L.®  Walk

On August 21st, Hannah Stirn, T.E.A.L.® volunteer and student at South University, was interviewed by WSAV to discuss the 11th Annual Savannah T.E.A.L.® Walk that took place on September 21st, 2024, at Lake Mayer. This interview helped raise awareness of the event and its mission. The walk has been supported all these years by volunteer help from South University students and is an opportunity to engage the community, educate them about ovarian cancer, and highlight the support services that T.E.A.L.® offers to those affected by the disease. WJCL Interviews Victoria About the 11th Annual Savannah T.E.A.L.® Walk

On August 19th, Victoria Jones, a T.E.A.L.® volunteer and student at South University, was interviewed by WSAV to discuss the 11th Annual Savannah T.E.A.L.® Walk that took place on September 21st, 2024, in Savannah, Georgia. T.E.A.L.® Attends Uptown Night Market

On August 10th, 2023, T.E.A.L.® attended the Uptown Night Market and distributed over 500 pieces of awareness material to event attendees. The Uptown Night Market is New York’s largest cuisine, culture, and community festival put together by  MASC Hospitality Group, in partnership with the West Harlem Development Corporation. The goal of the activation is to spread awareness on the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer and to let New Yorkers know about the resources T.E.A.L.® offers.

T.E.A.L.® thanks News12 Brooklyn for helping spread our message and raise awareness of ovarian cancer by interviewing a runner on team Tell Every Amazing Lady® ahead of the 2022 TCS New York CIty Marathon. 

Runner Spencer, whose late mother Louisa co-founded Tell Every Amazing Lady® after her ovarian cancer diagnosis, ran for the foundation’s team in the iconic race on November 6, 2022, and spoke to News12 Brooklyn about his experience. Watch here.

News12 Brooklyn covers the T.E.A.L.® Celebration and Women’s Health Expo

Thanks News12 Brooklyn for highlighting the T.E.A.L.® Celebration and Women’s Health Expo on September 10th, 2022. The event celebrated ovarian cancer patients and survivors, raised funds for T.E.A.L.®’s programs, and educated the public about women’s health topics from head-to-toe. It was T.E.A.L.®’s first time back in Prospect Park after a two-year hiatus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The story mentioned the importance of knowing the signs, symptoms, and risk factors of ovarian cancer. You can watch News12’s coverage here
