T.E.A.L.® providing funding for medical research study at Cedars Sinai Medical Center

Funding for medical research is an essential part of Tell Every Amazing Lady®’s mission in finding a screening test and a cure for ovarian cancer. T.E.A.L.® has chosen to contribute to the study “Combining epidemiologic and genetic risk to provide accurate and accessible comprehensive risk prediction for the prevention of ovarian cancer,” led by Michelle Jones, PhD, at Cedars Sinai Medical Center.

Early detection of ovarian cancer represents the strongest potential for preventing death from this lethal gynecologic malignancy. A woman’s risk for ovarian cancer is the result of both genetic and lifestyle factors, many of which are now identified. This study will combine known genetic and lifestyle risk factors for the first time, to identify a woman’s complete risk profile and provide guidance to caregivers as they select those women who require intervention or prevention strategies.
