On November 10th, 2021, T.E.A.L.® was able to provide 100 T.E.A.L.® Kits to the Woman to Woman Program at Mount Sinai Hospital. Woman to Woman carefully matches a survivor volunteer with a woman who is currently in treatment for cervical, ovarian, uterine, vaginal, or vulvar cancer. The specially-trained volunteers share their cancer stories with the women they are helping, fostering a personal relationship that grows to include open discussion, emotional support, and mentoring on everything from helpful resources to ways of becoming an effective self-advocate.
The T.E.A.L.® Kits we donated include eyelashes, eyebrow pencils and various other beauty products to help cancer patients feel better after some of the physical changes caused by treatment. We also included our resources and information to extend our support to these survivors. The T.E.A.L.® Kits we donated will go to current patients being treated for any gynecological cancer at Mount Sinai who are part of Woman to Woman. We are happy to be able to support a program whose values align with our own and make a difference in the lives of patients battling cancer.
