The Covid-19 Pandemic hit T.E.A.L.® hard causing us to pause a lot of our programs. Prior to the pandemic the T.E.A.L.® Community Center was a place open to the public to come learn about ovarian cancer, it was a resource to the community as well as ovarian cancer patients and survivors. During Covid we had to pause all in person activities at the T.E.A.L.® Community Center in Brooklyn NY.
On Friday April 28th, 2023 we were absolutely ecstatic to host our first in person workshop in over 2 years! The workshop entitled Healthy Living With Kitchen Medicine was hosted by the amazing; Carolyn Jones, Holistic Health Practitioner and Bereavement Chaplain. Those who attended the workshop got to learn about Ovarian Cancer, signs and symptoms. As well as the health benefits of 12 different herbs and spices. It was a great event full of health and wellness. We are looking forward to hosting more in person workshops at the T.E.A.L.® Community Center.
