On Thursday, September 28th, 2017, the 3rd Annual Girls Night Out “Pink & Teal” event was held at Milk River in Brooklyn, NY. This event aimed to raise awareness about both breast and ovarian cancer, as well as to honor survivors and those who have dedicated their efforts to finding a cure. It was another fun and successful event. Presentations were made by survivors, and representatives from local organizations including T.E.A.L.® co-founder Pamela Esposito-Amery. Pamela was surprised with awards from state senator Kevin Parker and the New York City Council recognizing her work towards promoting health care, education and research for Ovarian Cancer survivors and patients. A particularly special moment was when one of our Amazing ladies, Donnette James, presented a quilt that was made in honor of Donnette on stage with Pamela. This quilt will be hung and displayed at the T.E.A.L.® Community Center. Special thanks to Timothy Marshall Events and S.W.A.G. (Sisters with a Goal) for an absolutely incredible night that raised $1,000!
