Tell Every Amazing Lady® and theLions Club made the front page of the Park Slope Courier!

Check out this article by the Brooklyn Paper showing how the District 20-K1 Lions Club of Brooklyn helped us Turn The Town’s Teal® on  5th Ave and North Flatbush Ave in Brooklyn to raise awareness for ovarian cancer. 

On August 26th, 2024 we tied teal ribbons to trees all over the avenues and spoke to many local businesses about our cause. Thank you Brooklyn Paper for covering this exciting event and thank you to Gabriele Holtermann for your lovely article!

WSAV Interviews Hannah about the 11th Annual Savannah T.E.A.L.®  Walk

On August 21st, Hannah Stirn, T.E.A.L.® volunteer and student at South University, was interviewed by WSAV to discuss the 11th Annual Savannah T.E.A.L.® Walk that took place on September 21st, 2024, at Lake Mayer. This interview helped raise awareness of the event and its mission. The walk has been supported all these years by volunteer help from South University students and is an opportunity to engage the community, educate them about ovarian cancer, and highlight the support services that T.E.A.L.® offers to those affected by the disease. WJCL Interviews Victoria About the 11th Annual Savannah T.E.A.L.® Walk

On August 19th, Victoria Jones, a T.E.A.L.® volunteer and student at South University, was interviewed by WSAV to discuss the 11th Annual Savannah T.E.A.L.® Walk that took place on September 21st, 2024, in Savannah, Georgia. 2024 Marathon Meetup

On June 27th, 2024, Team Tell Every Amazing Lady®, in preparation for the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon, gathered at the T.E.A.L.® Community Center, virtually and in-person. T.E.A.L.® staff educated them about the signs, symptoms and risk factors of ovarian cancer, T.E.A.L.®’s mission, and the resources we offer. The runners were also given the opportunity to discuss why they are running for T.E.A.L.®, and the impact that ovarian cancer has had on many of them. Brooklyn Borough President, Antonio Reynoso, visits the T.E.A.L.® Community Center

T.E.A.L.® was honored to receive a visit from the Brooklyn Borough President, Antonio Reynoso, on July 29th, 2024! T.E.A.L.® Representatives gave Reynoso a tour of the T.E.A.L.® Community Center, shared with him some ovarian cancer statistics and facts, and discussed how his office can help support T.E.A.L.®’s mission of spreading awareness about ovarian cancer and supporting survivors. Reynoso is excited to join T.E.A.L.® as a runner in the 16th Annual Brooklyn T.E.A.L.® Walk/Run™ Celebration on September 7, 2024 in Prospect Park, BK.
