For September, National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, in 2015  ®T.E.A.L. partnered with local businesses and organizations to turn business and organizations in NYC and beyond tealto spread awareness about Ovarian Cancer. As part of this campaign, ®T.E.A.L. has partnered with ®Turn The Towns Teal which has provided ribbons to decorate trees in cities and towns across the United States. ®T.E.A.L. tied these ribbons around businesses and provides a poster that further explains how this business is spreading awareness to the community. Thank You To the Following Organizations, Schools, and Businesses for Participating:

2015 September Awareness Campaign

Through September 2015, during National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month ®T.E.A.L. partnered with local businesses and organizations to light businesses, buildings, & monuments in NYC and beyond teal to spread awareness about Ovarian Cancer. Luna Park’s iconic Parachute Jump in Coney Island, Brooklyn and Brooklyn Borough Hall were lit teal in support of ®T.E.A.L and Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. There was a press conference for each lighting. The beautiful teal color was seen from afar and helped ®T.E.A.L continue its efforts in spreading awareness. ®T.E.A.L. was honored to ring the NASDAQ opening bell with our ®T.E.A.L. board, survivors, staff, and loyal supporters and promote global awareness for Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. Girls Night Out (Keeping it Teal) in Brooklyn

On Thursday, September 24th, 2015  Marshall Gras Entertainment, Timothy Marshall Enterprises, and Milk River presented the Girl’s Night Out (Keeping it Teal) Event in Brooklyn! This event was hosted by Greginald Spencer with a portion of the proceeds being donated to ®T.E.A.L. with Food and Drink Specials all night for all Amazing Ladies! This fundraiser raised $500 directly towards Awareness and Research programs for Ovarian Cancer with performances by Kenny Dark, J’Maine Jone, Venor and J’Sun.

T.E.A.L. on the David Webb Show

On September 28, 2015, ®T.E.A.L. CEO Pamela Esposito-Amery was a guest on the David Webb Show on SirusXM Patriot Radio Ch. 125.  The David Webb Show has continued to support our cause for many years. With this 2015 interview, The David Webb Show especially helped ®T.E.A.L.  spread awareness of the signs, symptoms, and risk factors for Ovarian Cancer during ovarian cancer awareness month, the month of September. 2nd Annual ®T.E.A.L. Walk in Litchfield, CT

On September 27, 2015, the 2nd Annual Litchfield ®T.E.A.L. Walk celebrated the courage of Ovarian Cancer survivors and the strength of the families who’ve been touched by the disease, while spreading awareness to the general public and raising money for research. T.E.A.L.® at St. Joseph’s College

On September 24th, 2015, ®T.E.A.L. CEO Pamela Esposito Amery presented on the signs, symptoms, and risk factors of Ovarian Cancer in addition to ways students can get involved with the organization. ®T.E.A.L. volunteer, past Intern, and St. Joseph’s College Alumna Sabrina Gargano shared her personal experience working with ®T.E.A.L. encouraging  St. Joseph’s students to join the ®T.E.A.L. movement!

T.E.A.L. Opens the NASDAQ

On September 21, 2015, ®T.E.A.L. was honored to ring the NASDAQ opening bell with our ®T.E.A.L. board, survivors, staff, and loyal supporters for September #OvarianCancerAwarenessMonth.

2nd Annual ®T.E.A.L. Walk in Savannah, GA

On Saturday, September 19th, 2015, the 2nd Annual ®T.E.A.L. Walk in Savannah, GA took place at Lake Mayer Track. This event was a tremendous success surpassing its initial fundraising goal for Awareness and Research programs for Ovarian Cancer! Savannah Teal Tea Party

On August 30,2015, some of our ®T.E.A.L. supporters in Savannah, Georgia helped ®T.E.A.L. with Ovarian Cancer outreach at the 3rd Annual Teal Tea Party for Gynecological Awareness Cancer Month. Hosted by our friends at the Nancy N. and J.C. Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion at St. Joseph’s/Candler, this tea party event honored and celebrated Women affected by Gynecological Cancer and also included a Fashion Show by Dress Barn & Chicos.

Savannah T.E.A.L. Walk on WTOC

On September 7th, 2015, T.E.A.L. volunteer and Savannah ®T.E.A.L. Walk organizer, Mandy Irvin, and her aunt, Stacey Rowell, an ovarian cancer survivor, appeared on the WTOC Mid-Morning show to talk about their goal of increasing awareness about Ovarian Cancer and celebrating survivors through their 2nd annual T.E.A.L. Press Conference at Brooklyn Borough Hall

On Thursday, September 3rd, 2015, there was a  ®T.E.A.L. Press Conference at Brooklyn Borough Hall. Speeches were made by Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams, our ®T.E.A.L. CEO Pamela Esposito-Amery, Council Member Rafael Espinal, and Council Member Laurie Cumbo. That night, Brooklyn Borough Hall was lit teal from September 3rd to September 12th to raise awareness about National Ovarian Cancer Awareness month.

T.E.A.L. on 1010 Wins

Throughout the month of September 2015, ®T.E.A.L’s John McGregor was featured on 1010 Wins to discuss #ovariancancerawarenessmonth.This series of Public Service Announcements talked about ®T.E.A.L’s mission and also provided a list of symptoms to further spread awareness.
